Netflix’s new series is a winner!

“Wonka: The Golden Ticket” reality TV game show production was filmed at Village Roadshow Studios, Gold Coast, for Eureka Productions’.
The designers created an entire 360 degree immersive world that it’s so real that you can almost taste and smell it. It’s unlike every other competition series. The chocolate factory, which is the main hero of the show where TDC supplied LED, interactive display systems and production gameplay. This show is a designer’s dream and TDC was onboard to supply all the Wonka technology. Our world transformed into Wonka Chocolate LED fountain, WonkaVision Hero Screen, Wonkavator, interactive display systems, Wonkatania and challenge environments and production gameplay.. Props to moving cogs to machines that work. Filmed on a scale that has never been done before for a game show, a massive team brought this vision to life.
The chocolate factory, which is the main hero of the show where TDC supplied the curved LED screen chocolate waterfall. This screen formed the visual "waterfall" feature within the Chocolate Factory environment and was significant enough that production planning specifically referenced installing it before other major screens due to complexity and interaction with surrounding scaffolding and scenic construction to link with the real chocolate river.
The production built one of the biggest sets the country has seen, spanning 88,000 square feet across three studios, nearly half of which formed the inside of the chocolate factory.
An art department of 120 people spent 12 weeks working on 28 set builds – all original designs – ahead of the four-week shoot at the end of 2025
