Sydney Harbour Bridge Pylons

National Projection Activation Under Accelerated Delivery

The Sydney Harbour Bridge pylons were illuminated in green and gold as part of a national activation recognising Australia’s world-first social media legislation aimed at keeping children safe online.

TDC was engaged to deliver large-scale projection onto the Harbour Bridge pylons under an exceptionally short lead time. Mobilisation, engineering and deployment were executed rapidly to meet tight timelines while maintaining precision across one of Australia’s most recognised landmarks.

High-Output Projection Infrastructure

The system incorporated:

High-lumen laser output was required to maintain image integrity against ambient harbour lighting, while precise lensing and mapping ensured accurate alignment across the pylons’ architectural surfaces.

Rapid Mobilisation & Structural Deployment

The activation required full site deployment including:

  • TW-Lite outdoor projection towers
  • Managed network infrastructure
  • Environmental-ready structural ballast
  • Monitoring and automation systems

With limited turnaround time, the crew engineered and deployed the infrastructure under compressed schedules while maintaining safety, compliance and projection accuracy.

Discipline Behind the Illumination

Landmark projection is not simply about brightness.

It demands:

  • Structural stability
  • Accurate mapping and alignment
  • Network resilience
  • Redundancy planning
  • Environmental tolerance

This activation reflects the capability, adaptability and technical discipline of the TDC team behind the scenes – delivering high-impact visual results under significant time pressure.

Proud of the crew who made it happen.
