Chris Fitzgerald to Head TDC’s Experiential Growth

Sydney, Australia, July 2026 – TDC – Technical Direction Company promotes Chris Fitzgerald to the newly created role of Head of Experiential & Installations, reinforcing the company’s continued investment in immersive environments, museums, attractions and cultural destinations.

With more than a decade at TDC, Fitzgerald will lead the company’s growing experiential portfolio, helping clients shape visitor experiences from concept through to delivery.

Unlike traditional AV suppliers, TDC combines creative, technical and production expertise to help project stakeholders such as museums, attractions, architects, designers and producers create engaging visitor experiences. Its capabilities span projection, LED, virtual production, interactive technologies and large-scale content integration, enabling clients to create flexible experiences that evolve with changing audience expectations.

TDC’s portfolio includes the Powerhouse Parramatta, one of the world’s most significant new museum projects, BBC Earth ExperienceFrida Kahlo: The Life of an IconSistine Chapel: Revelations, Vivid Sydney, and virtual production for the Australian feature film Mercy Road.

“Experiential projects are no longer just about technology, they’re about creating memorable places and experiences,” said Michael Hassett, Founder & CEO of TDC. “Chris’s appointment strengthens TDC’s ability to partner with clients early in the creative process, where the biggest opportunities are realised.”

Excited to lead this new chapter at TDC Fitzgerald added: “Clients often come to us with a technical challenge, but our greatest value lies in helping shape the creative outcome from the very beginning. Our goal is to create experiences that people want to return to, experiences that remain engaging and relevant long after opening day.”

The appointment comes as TDC prepares for REMIX Summit Sydney 2026, where Head of Innovation & Training Drew Ferors will present ‘When & How to Have “The” Creative-Technical Conversation’, exploring how earlier collaboration between creative and technical teams can unlock stronger visitor experiences.
